I find my inspiration in nature... most especially from the beaches of the Lowcountry of South Carolina... as well as the ocean and the surrounding rivers, and the marine life that resides below the water’s surface. Each piece in this collection is a blend of imagination and observation. 

I enjoy using vibrant color combinations and dynamic shapes to evoke fluidity and movement. My unique painting style combines my love of color exploration with freestyle constant brush strokes and layering of color. The result creates a flat yet textural appearance. I am an Atlanta native, but have resided in the Lowcountry for over 30 years. I graduated with a BFA from Georgia Southern University which included extensive studies in painting, printmaking and sculpture. After graduating I continued my studies in Cortona, Itlay through a program with the University of Georgia.
