Our story

Born from the creative vision of the duo behind local furniture studio, Perrin Woodworking, Windhorse ~ Gallery & Marketplace is a celebration of craftsmanship, creativity, and community. Nestled in front of our woodworking studio at The Shed in the heart of Port Royal, SC, Windhorse brings together a unique fusion of form and flavor.

Our space features custom, one-of-a-kind furniture pieces alongside a seasonally rotating collection of coastal-inspired—yet far from ordinary—works by local and national artists. In addition to the visual arts, we’ve curated a thoughtful selection of small-production and natural wines, artisan and farmstead cheeses, and other specialty provisions.

Windhorse is a place to gather, be inspired, and experience something new—where art meets intention, and every detail tells a story.

While dreaming up the vision for our gallery, a dear family member introduced us to the ancient Tibetan concept of the Windhorse—a symbol of the human soul in motion, representing well-being, prosperity, and good fortune.

This philosophy quickly became the heartbeat of our space.

To us, Windhorse is more than a name—it’s the energy and intention behind every piece we create and curate. It’s about elevating everyday beauty through handcrafted work, thoughtful design, and soulful storytelling. Our mission is to offer goods made with purpose and artistry, within a space that sparks curiosity, comfort, and joy.
